Trio Ramberget was recorded at the Nonagon Festival at Svanö Island, just outside Kramfors, in the summer of 2024. The recording was made in the abandoned oil cistern located on the island, with a natural reverb of approximately 25 seconds. The album is the concert in its whole, divided into six parts, played uninterrupted.
“The trio’s meditative interplay unfolds like a slow-forming weather pattern: bowed metal, resonant wood and and breathlike textures drifting through natural reverb that feel almost geological.” - Last Day Deaf
“[…] The pacing remains restrained, with each sound given time to breathe, creating a careful balance between movement and stillness.” Frequency State
“"The atmosphere is charged from the start. Ekholm's double bass creates a vibrating drone while Davidsson's trombone tones initially sound like a foghorn from a ship navigating in a dense fog. Sharp and cutting tones break into rumbling lower frequencies before Ekholm creates meditative effects on the double bass with sweeping bow movements. […] The metallic walls of the cistern amplify the trio's acoustic sound and makes the listening both fascinating and challenging. The resonance also makes the instruments sometimes difficult to define. If Davidsson's trombone sounded like a foghorn for a while, the answer comes when Westlin's voice, on the beautiful fifth track, sounds like the ocean's response, like the song of sirens.” - Tobias Magnusson, Hymn
